Chosen with care. Backed by science.
This gift set pairs two formulas designed to work in order. Rootfix Shampoo works on the scalp, with tea tree oil studied against the yeast linked to flaking and saw palmetto researched for the hormone pathway behind thinning. ExoDensity Hair Serum then works at the root, applied to the scalp only, with scalp-derived exosomes and copper tripeptide. Here is what the published literature describes.
Balance
Systematic review reports a shifted balance of Malassezia species on flaking scalps, which is why Rootfix starts the routine.1
Signal
Published research on scalp-derived Leuconostoc exosomes reports increased proliferation of human follicle dermal papilla cells.6
Support
Copper tripeptide is documented for stimulating VEGF and angiogenesis, processes associated with blood supply around the follicle.7

Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is one of the few botanical anti-flaking ingredients with a human randomised trial behind it. In a 2002 study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 126 participants used either a 5% tea tree oil shampoo or a placebo daily for four weeks. The tea tree group showed a 41% improvement on the quadrant-area-severity score, against 11% for placebo.3
The authors link the effect to tea tree oil's activity against Malassezia, the yeast associated with dandruff, which breaks scalp sebum down into the irritant by-products behind visible flaking.2,3

Saw Palmetto Extract
Hormone-driven thinning is largely mediated by DHT, which the body makes from testosterone using an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. The fatty acids and β-sitosterol in Serenoa repens are documented as non-selective inhibitors of that enzyme.4
A 2020 systematic review in Skin Appendage Disorders examined five randomised trials and two prospective cohort studies of topical and oral saw palmetto in androgenetic alopecia and telogen effluvium, reporting positive effects across them.4

Leuconostoc Exosome Complex
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles released by cells into the space around them, carrying proteins, RNA and lipids used for intercellular communication — one cell packaging instructions, another receiving them.5
Our exosome active is derived from Leuconostoc, a lactic acid bacterium found naturally on the human scalp. In peer-reviewed work published in Current Issues in Molecular Biology, extracellular vesicles from scalp-derived Leuconostoc increased proliferation and migration in human follicle dermal papilla cells and modulated the expression of genes associated with hair growth.6
The dermal papilla sits at the base of every follicle and determines when a hair grows, rests and sheds.

GHK-Cu
Copper tripeptide-1 is a three-amino-acid peptide bound to copper. It occurs naturally in human plasma, and measured levels decline with age.7
A 2018 review in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences documents its regenerative and protective actions, including stimulation of VEGF and angiogenesis, processes associated with blood supply around the follicle.7 Separate in-vitro work on a closely related copper tripeptide, AHK-Cu, reported elongation of human hair follicles in culture and increased dermal papilla cell proliferation.8

Two products, one loving routine.
The shampoo prepares the scalp; the serum works on it. Used in this order, each one does its job properly.
Rootfix Shampoo
Lather into a wet scalp with fingertips. Leave on for 2–3 minutes, massaging gently.
Rinse & Dry
Rinse thoroughly and towel-dry. The scalp should be dry or barely damp.
ExoDensity Serum
Serum: 1ml per application, parted section by section, directly on the scalp. Scalp only, not the lengths of the hair. Massage in for 30 seconds.
Leave
Do not rinse the serum. Style as normal.
